A frontline aspirant for the office of Federal House of Representatives 2023, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Prince Engr Promise Nnanyelugo Ike - ONYENDOZI ORUMBA - has encouraged every Orumba person to ensure that they have their INEC voters card, PVC.
This, he said, is very important to enable them get the power to vote their choice candidates in the said elections.
Onyendozi, a staunch APGA member and one of the promoters of Cee Cee Soludo candidacy in the last gubernatorial election in the state, acknowledged the commendable improvements of INEC in the nation's electoral system as seen in the last Anambra election.
"INEC has proved to us that votes now count in Nigeria going by what we saw in the last Anambra gubernatorial election. I therefore enjoin every ONYE ORUMBA who does not have a valid voters card or those who may wish to transfer their cards to Orumba to seize the opportunity of the ongoing voter registration to get their voter's cards ready", Onyendozi said.
INEC has resumed the suspended continuous voter registration exercise in Anambra. This is an opportunity to register either as a new voter, OR to change voting location OR for one to replace his/her damaged or misplaced permanent voter's card (PVC). He urged those who do not have their PVC in their hands to go to the INEC Office in the Local Government Headquarters (Ajalli or Umunze) to register.
Speaking to media correspondence in his country home in Ezira, Orumba South LGA, Onyendozi said he believes strongly in a free and fair elections. He went further to urge his fellow aspirants to give Ndi Orumba free hand to choose who should represent them without coercing or inducing them.
On the chances of his winning the nomination of his party (APGA) to fly their flag, Onyendozi expressed optimism that he is an aspirant to beat having contributed so much in building the party, as well as showing multitude of evidence as a proof of his capacity for the office. He recounted a number of ways he had assisted the common man and youths in Orumba as a private person. "Search the internet and see several ways I have, through my Prince Onyendozi Foundation - an NGO where am the CEO - touched the lives of common man and youths in Orumba. Without being immodest, upliftment of the needy is in my blood and I have plotted out a number of strategic ways to improve on it if voted to occupy the office in the federal house", Onyendozi said.
