Onyendozi Orumba, a leading APGA aspirant to the office of Federal House of Representatives Orumba North and South Federal Constituency has poured encomiums on Hon Emeka Aforka for bagging a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Hon Aforka is the current Deputy Majority Leader in the Anambra State House of Assembly and member representing Orumba North in the State Assembly.

According to Onyendozi, Hon Aforka is one the leading political lights in Orumba who has never rested in improving himself in all ramifications towards serving his people. He praised the courage of the legislator in furthering his academic capacity amidst his hectic programmes as a public officer.

Onyendozi also noted that Hon Aforka's new feather in his admirable cap would certainly facilitate his ability to serve the people better.

He further described Hon Emeka Aforka as a staunch member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and a model in the politics of development in the State.

Onyendozi looks forward to working in progressive partnership with Hon Aforka in Orumba if given the opportunity to serve in the federal house to represent Orumba North and South.

The beautiful and cozy country home of the APGA National Chairman is adorned with a number of unique natural features. For a first time visitor, like me, it is a landscape with beautiful interplay of nature and serenity. Little wonder the the number one APGA chieftain, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, named this home "the Graceland".

The one feature that caught my attention most was the elegantly built Peacock - a single creature that defines perfectly the amazing beauty of our Creator and his creation. This great creature was perambulating around the grassland at the right-hand end of the high table where Chief Oye and Onyendozi were seated.

The nearly three feet giant Peacock seemed to find comfort in our company as we sat in the large garden listening to the eloquent and fun-filled speech of our charming host - one of the finest Igbo orator I have ever met. 

Yes, it was a large crowd of witnesses which accompanied Onyendozi - Engr Prince Promise Nnanyelugo Ike - who came to notify the national Chairman of his intention to contest for the post of Federal House of Representatives, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency. Notable in this company were about 7 Ndi Igwe from Orumba, and over 20 Presidents General of communities in Orumba. 

The mood of the people, as Chief Ike Oye spoke to us, was a combination of nostalgia and amusement. I could see in him a true Igbo father who saw a beautiful opportunity to tell fellow Igbo community leaders of the overwhelming need to build a peaceful and prosperous Igbo land. According to him, the easiest way to do that is in choosing trustworthy and humble sons to represent them at political arenas. He described Onyendozi as one of such humble sons.

A somewhat mysterious issue in his speech was in the concurring voice of his Peacock with the crowd in affirming amen to prayers as the people chorused. It was so amazing when Chief Oye declared on Onyendozi that his journey to the house would be smooth. The Peacock chorused amen alongside the people, so much so that Chief Ike Oye had to comment that men and spirits had concurred to the prayers as evidenced by the Peacock.

Indeed, if you among those that doubt the mystery of special animals as clairvoyants, the case of Chief Oye's Peacock would make you change your mind. In fact, we left the National Chairman's house convinced that God, the land and the people of Orumba have ordained that Onyendozi is the man for Orumba North and South Federal Constituency come 2023.

Onyendozi, Engr Prince Promise Nnanyelugo Ike, has joined millions of Ndi Anambra, good people of Orumba and all lovers of progress to rejoice for the enthronement of Gov Cee Cee Soludo as the new governor of Anambra State.

The highly elated Onyendozi described the occasion of Prof Soludo's inauguration as a landmark event that would lead to a brighter and more glorious time for Ndi Anambra and, indeed, Igbo land. 

He recalled that Prof Soludo is a developmental transformer, noting that the former Nigerian Central Bank governor has the energy, the zeal, prudence and all it takes to deliver his campaign promises which would lead to making Anambra a smart megacity.

Onyendozi who is a frontrunner aspirant in the 2023 election for the Federal House of Representatives, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency under APGA, believes that the coming in of Gov Cee Cee Soludo is a huge blessing for Ndi Anambra. He looks forward to a developmental  partnership with the renowned economist towards restoring the old glory of Orumba zone if he (Onyendozi) emerges as the House of Reps member for Orumba.

He advised all Ndi Anambra to cooperate with Gov Soludo when he comes up with the programmes and policies necessary in fulfilling his campaign promises. He also requested that the people should give him a little time to adjust and do the necessary change of gear required in every transformational process.

Onyendozi was one of the APGA faithfuls who stood by, and supported, Prof Soludo during the gubernatorial campaign.

Engr Prince Promise Nnanyelugo Ike, aka Onyendozi Orumba was among several dignitaries in Anambra and beyond who thronged the country home of Engr Emeka Ezenwanne to celebrate the latter's 50th birthday ceremony. 

The birthday ceremony was attended by the high and mighty in Igbo land, including Prof. Cee Cee Soludo, the governor elect of Anambra state who would take oath of office as the new executive governor of Anambra State

 this Thursday, March 17 2022. 

A special Church service to mark the birthday held at St Theresa Catholic Church, Umueze, Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area. 

The Isuofia born Engr Emeka is the Commissioner of Public Utility, Anambra State. He is also the brother-in-law of the incoming Gov Cee Cee Soludo. 

Onyendozi Orumba - a BOT member and Grand Patron of Soludo Solution Movement - was a well known promoter of Prof Soludo when the former CBN governor was at the battle field contesting for the governorship of the state. He is also one of the notable stakeholders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) both at the state level and Orumba zone. He's currently running for the office of Federal House of Representatives, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency.

The Chairman of All Progressives  Grand Alliance (APGA), Orumba North Local Government, Chief Festus Alukwe (Omeudo) has described the party's leading aspirant for the office of Federal House of Representatives, Engr Prince Promise Nnanyereugo Ike (aka Onyendozi) as one that is outstanding. In his words, Onyendozi _chapúrú áchapú_. 

The APGA chieftain said this on Friday, March 11 2022 while delivering a speech during a formal declaration of Onyendozi for the contest at the Local Government Headquarters, Ajalli.

The declaration event featured a massive attendance of all APGA leadership and stakeholders in the local government, including the Ward Chairmen, Ward Secretaries, Youth Leaders and Woman Leaders. The colourful event, a carnival of some sort, saw all the women beautifully adored in uniform donated to them by Onyendozi. 

For the APGA Secretary in the Local Government, Barrister Christian Onyemelukwe, the party leadership was overwhelmed and heavily impressed by Onyendozi's coming. "My advice to you", Onyemelukwe said, "is that you carry on in this manner as you continue to consult at all levels of the party hierarchy".

At the Orumba South LGA, also on the same date and mission, Onyendozi was heavily and enthusiastically received. Speakers who took turns to harp on the stirling qualities of Onyendozi described him as one whom they can  trust to deliver when voted into the office. In the words of Orumba South APGA Chairman, Onyendozi is very reachable and is the man of the people. He described him as one aspirant who is well qualified for the office in all ramifications.

The charming and elegant Onyendozi who was wearing smiling face all through the event promised never to disappoint Ndi Orumba and APGA if sent to the office. He said it was a divine mandate received by him from God - one which he could not afford to toy with.

The Director General of Onyendozi Campaign Organization, Ogbuefi Jude Umunnakwe has advised APGA leadership not to listen to some aspirants coming under APGA to seek support for the office of House of Representatives come 2023. He described them as _'ashowo'_ aspirants.

The DG said this during the formal declaration of Engr Prince Promise Nnanyereugo Ike, aka Onyendozi, as an APGA aspirant for the office of Federal House of Representatives, Orumba North and South federal constituency. According to Ogbuefi, some aspirants who betrayed APGA and the Governor-elect  by working against the party and its candidate during the last governorship election in the state  are now hovering around the party pretending to have repented.

Ogbuefi recalled how these people nearly killed APGA during the guber contest by working assiduously with opposition parties. He noted that it was the quality of APGA candidate in the election, Prof Soludo, and firm support of the outgoing governor that saved APGA from being killed and buried by these unfaithful personalities.

Ogbuefi asked APGA officials and stakeholders who attended Onyendozi's declaration in Orumba North and South to support him (Onyendozi). He said that Onyendozi stood firmly with Soludo and APGA during those trial times, even spending millions of naira in support of Soludo's victory. He added that it would be very unfair for the party to ignore the antics of those virus members of the party and support them now that APGA is on the throne. He went further to say that these characters are unreliable and would be cheaply bought over against APGA even in future.

 Though Ogbuefi did not mention the names of those aspirants, he said that everyone knows who they are.

Onyendozi is a leading aspirant for the office of House of Reps, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency. He was a Grand Patrons of Soludo Solution Movement (SSM), one of the support groups that fought for Soludo's victory. Ogbuefi Umunnakwe was the National Coordinator.

It was a carnival of some sort as Engr Prince Promise Nnanyereugo Ike, aka Onyendozi Orumba formally declared his intention to run for Federal House of Representatives, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency.

Today, March 11, 2022, Orumba North and South local government Secretariats at Ajalli and Umunze respectively - the venues of the declaration - were agog as Onyendozi's promotors and supporters storm the Secretariats in Grand style. 

Orumba North was the first port of call as all  APGA Ward Chairmen, Secretaries, Youth Leaders and Woman Leaders, as well as some party stakeholders in the local government were seated waiting for the man largely believed as the consensus aspirant for the office.

In his declaration speech, Onyendozi informed the enthusiastic hosts that he was fully prepared to contest under APGA. He described himself as a dedicated APGA member and loyalist who had sacrificed so much in promoting APGA course. Onyendozi, a grand patron of Soludo Solution Movement - one of the notable support groups that fought for Cee Cee Soludo's victory - recounted how he was fully involved in the battles that saw the emergence of the governor-elect. He told the party faithfuls to support him and not listen to some cheats in the contest who are "ashowo" members of APGA. He said in strong terms that he would never disappoint Ndi Orumba if voted into the office. He went further to promise building a befitting APGA office for the local government.

Responding to Onyendozi's declaration speech, the the APGA Chairman in Orumba North Local Government confessed that a few other aspirants had come to see them but Onyendozi's coming was peculiar and outstanding. In his words, "Onyendozi's coming _'chapúrú achapu. Esi nódú ama ihe di nkita mma'_, implying that Onyendozi's declaration is outstanding and by his level of support, it is easy to know where the pendulum would swing. 

Many other party stalworts in the local spoke, each praising Onyendozi's humility, friendliness, benevolence and simplicity.

The situation was equally as colourful at the Orumba South local government headquarters at Umunze. The large local government hall was filled to the brim with APGA officials and stakeholders who received Onyendozi's with cheers. The event was fun-filled as each participant struggled to have warm embrace with Onyendozi.

 Indeed, it is easy to infer that Onyendozi is APGA's sure candidate for the Orumba North and South Federal Constituency.

The increasing clamour for the emergence of Engr. Prince Promise Nnanyereugo Ike, (better known as Onyendozi Orumba) as the next member of House of Representatives, Orumba North and South Federal constituency 2023, received a boost as APGA stakeholders and party leadership of Ezira Ward trouped out to receive him.

Onyendozi, who has been going round consulting with the stakeholders of Orumba North & South, as well as APGA party leadership, is believed by many Orumba people as the choice person for the post. 

Today, March 9, 2022 the Prime mover and Director General of ONYENDOZI for Federal House, Ogbuefi Jude Umunnakwe  informed curious party members in the ward that Onyendozi had consulted widely, including party stalwarts at federal, state & Local Government levels concerning this mission.  Ogbuefi also noted that the consultations have shown enormous support of APGA stakeholders for Onyendozi and that they were highly  encouraged to run for the position. With this moral boost, according to him, the team decided to come to Ezira, Onyendozi's home ward, to formally inform them of his readiness to run, as well as seek their support.

Speaking, the Ezira APGA Ward Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Udorji said that he was highly elated to hear that Onyendozi - their great son -  had made up his mind to run.  He extolled his stirling qualities, describing him as a humble, educated and successful businessman who has over the years used his personal resources to assist the needy in Orumba.  For the chairman, Onyendozi's bid to clinch the position of Orumba North and South Federal House of Representatives is Ezira's project. He called on their people to rally round him and give him overwhelming support. 

In her speech, the Woman leader of the ward, Mrs Eucheria Obiageli Udoji recalled a recent prophecy in the community which said that God would remember Ezira town with special favour in the next five years. She described Onyendozi's emergence as the fulfilment of that prophecy. She therefore pleaded with her kinsmen and women to pull all efforts together in support of their great son. She also assured Onyendozi of their prayers. 

Other prominent members of the ward, including the President General of Ezira Improvement Union, Evaristus Onwumere, the Youth leader of the ward, Mr Bathlomew Ogudo, the Orumba South APGA secretary, and many others all took turns to poor encomiums on the man Onyendozi, each describing his several admirable virtues.

Appreciating his kinsmen and women who sacrificed their days engagements to host him, Onyendozi told them that he felt so encouraged by their words and advice. He informed them that his decision to join the race was never out of mere political ambition but a divine purpose which he discovered of recent. He pledged to do everything possible never to disappoint his people and Ndi Orumba if he succeeds in getting to the green chamber in Abuja.

About 30 years ago, I once visited my junior brother who was then serving as an apprentice in a motor spare parts shop in Lagos. I noticed his trading colleagues - mostly from Nnewi and Idemili - calling him Igwe Abilikete. When I later inquired why he was going by that nickname, I was told his colleagues unanimously gave him the name immediately they learned that he is from Orumba.

I could feel a nostalgic shiver through my nerves as the name Abilikete reminded me the golden days of Orumba. Those were the days when Chief TN Madu of Owerrezukala, Awgu Nwaenwe of  Isulo, Chief Ebenezer Onuigbo of Akpu, Chief Onyekwene of Ufuma, Chief Dr Alex Ekwueme, and many others gave Orumba a pride of place in the comity of political zones in the South East.

The colossus himself - Igwe Abilikete, Chief MN Ugochukwu - was the bull.

In the days of these great pillars of thought, Orumba zone had a thundering voice at all quarters where political matters were discussed. That was the active force that made the zone produce for Ndi Igbo the first and only vice president of the federal republic so far in the history of Nigerian politics.

Today, the present generation of Orumba still smells the fragrance of those golden days through landmarks like Federal Polytechnic Oko, Federal College of Education Umunze, Basden Memorial Secondary School Isulo and Niger Diocesan Hospital Uumunze.

When, one day, I came across a banner post: ONYENDOZI ORUMBA Foundation, the question that came to my mind was: can Orumba gain back its old glory? On deeper reflection, I had a thought that there's a possibility that our beloved Orumba can still gain back its pride of place in Anambra politics. That pushed me to understudy the man behind ONYENDOZI ORUMBA.

My search revealed a vibrant young man, Engr. Prince Promise Ike from Ezira, Orumba. South LGA. An Engineering graduate, this humble son of a royal blood has through his social contract with the masses helped in alleviating the suffering of many vulnerable citizens of Orumba. He has taken the boldness of empowering a generation of Orumba youths to the admiration of many. And as action begets reaction, Orumba youths are already clamouring for him to represent the zone in Abuja in the Federal House of Representatives. 

When asked why he came up with the NGO, Onyendozi, the China based business tycoon - Prince Promise - said that he's bothered by the situation of Orumba people especially the youths who are daily faced with the temptation of joining bad gang due to frustration. According to him, he had travelled to developed nations and seen strategic ways of engaging the youths in developing their talents and engaging them economically. He has also mapped out a line up of programmes for the empowerment of Orumba youths.

Perhaps, through Onyendozi Orumba, the old glory of Orumba may return.
